Updates!
On October 5, Mitch announced a new proposal to lower the cost of
prescription drugs in Oregon through a voluntary purchasing program.
"Drug companies and their profits are out of control," said Greenlick.
"This plan will allow Oregon citizens to join together voluntarily to
force the drug companies to reduce their prices. It's simple; it's like
buying in bulk at Costco. The drug companies won't like it because it
means lower profits for them. But Oregon citizens will pay lower prices
in the end."
Children First for Oregon has published a questionairre asking
candidates their position on a variety of issues of importance to children.
For Example:
Children First: If you could select one policy change you feel would
make the most positive impact for Oregon's children, what would it be?
Mitch: One of my first bills will likely be one to ensure that the
66,000 uninsured children in Oregon will be included in the National
Children Health Insurance Program initiative.
